Will someone read this???

There are very few people like Salman Rushdie, the Indian born British Author, who has the courage of his convictions. Inspite of the fatwas to kill him, has been a modern and moderate face of Islam. The article on the state of affairs in India and Pakistan is well written. But the problem is will someone higher up at the helm in India read and take action. I doubt. The political compulsions are much more important than these minor irritants. In India there is an outcry, only when there are hundreds of people that are affected. This is the sad state of affairs in the World's supposedly largest democracy.
